Account Managers support all of these efforts.

What does an Account Manager do at KERTIS?  

Our Account Managers foster the overall client relationship throughout a project. They typically handle multiple accounts, and serve as the primary point of agency contact for their clients, learning all they can about a clients needs and personality to inform a project. While client services are their main focus, they sit between our clients and our internal team, and are strong ambassadors for both sides. Their job is to communicate with tact and diplomacy, answer questions, and make certain clients receive what they asked for as part of our contractual agreement. This requires exemplary responsiveness and thoroughness.

Account Managers initiate the client relationship with KERTIS, working to gain all of the project information and constraints and then present that information to our internal teams in ways that set us up for success. They are able to tailor budgets based on the complexity and urgency of the project. They are able to explain our processes to the client in an open and supportive way. They ensure that projects meet client goals, creative ideas, and KERTIS standards. 

Our Account Managers play a crucial role in client retention as well as potentially bringing in new business as part of an existing client process. A successful candidate in this role will exhibit an energetic passion for working with people and a desire to build long term client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong client relationships by developing and maintaining a deep understanding of clients’ industry, business, and customer needs

  • Act as high level liaison between the clients you work with & KERTIS team - you are diplomatic, attentive, welcoming, and extremely responsive

  • Research and write strategic & comprehensive client project proposals & budgets 

  • Work closely with Creative team to maintain client needs, and keep project budgets in scope

  • Represent KERTIS approach to strategic and creative vision, coaching client to understand our process on all projects 

  • Attend client meetings and presentations both internally and externally

  • Attend Strategy Sessions and work to absorb discussion into project pass offs

  • Attend/lead regular working meetings with Traffic, Admin, Creative and Accounts.

  • Review all materials before they go to clients for approval to ensure that  intended goals are met

  • Compile and prepare client reports to highlight hits, misses, learning, and next steps; proactively identify opportunities to exceed expectations

  • Seek opportunities for new business development 

Skills & Requirements:

  • 3-5 years experience at a creative, advertising, or marketing agency, or similarly related role

  • Proven account management and project management skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills, outgoing and confident personality to collaborate across partner teams in the agency

  • Proven ability to creatively problem-solve for clients, internal teams, and vendors

  • Ability to develop, communicate and maintain systems that increase efficiency and provide growth opportunities for the agency

  • Creative problem solving & critical thinking

  • Exacting attention to detail

  • Ability to maintain accurate schedules and budgets

  • Diplomatic and supportive team member  

  • Flexibility to adjust to last minute schedules and unknowns 

  • Solid writing and research skills

  • Interest in historical and current trends in storytelling/marketing/advertising

  • Community & globally minded 

  • Self-motivated & open-minded

Salary + Benefits

$50-60k Base (Compensation depending on experience / skill level)

  • Louisville based position but we have a hybrid working environment
